Product Overview
Our goal is to enhance the existing in-pane search feature.
Allowing users to seamlessly search for information while enjoying their favorite movies.
Project Overview
The product team wanted to promote the search feature on PWA to the media platforms
The project focuses on light user research and mostly on user interface design and a visual representation of the product’s infrastructure.
😵💫 Users often struggle with the need to open additional overlapping windows on their computer browser to check information while watching a movie, causing interruptions and inconvenience.
Problem Statement
Research showed users like the in-app search feature, but they would appreciate the improvements to the navigation.
How might we improve HBO's search experience, allowing users to search for movie info seamlessly?
Process
The project started with a simple task - designing a one-click interaction
I broke down the user task and created the flow to improve the experience by asking questions. What actions will users do in these scenarios?
Users can simply hover over the text button in the side pane article, enabling one-click access to the desired information.
I experimented with different variations of UI components to effectively accommodate a wide range of information.
